  • Reading books to earn money for a charity
  • Having the teacher read a book or chapter a day
  • Having the teacher take you to the library
  • Having the author come to the school
  • Being allowed to buy books through a book club
  • Having a teacher recommend books about topics of interest to you
  • Being able to read books with lots of pictures in them
  • Having time set aside at school for silent reading
  • Having teacher or librarian tell you something about the book
  • Reading a book after seeing the movie
  • Hearing a famous person reading a book
  • Reading a book after seeing the TV show
  • Listening to the teacher read a few pages from a book you can later read by yourself
  • Having parents, grandparents, or other special people come to school to read
