War and Peace Ladder

Page history last edited by Teri Lesesne 14 years, 3 months ago

Here is a basic list of books that are set during various times of war.  Ladders for this subject could range from ladders about specific wars and times in history.  For example, A Soldier's Heart. Shades of Gray. Bull  Run, Across Five Aprils, Gettysburg,  and The Mostly True Adventures of Homer P. Figg are all set during the American Civil War.    Books set during the American Revolution, WWI and WWII, Vietnam and Irag are also part of this list.  A terrific resource, aside from your school librarian, is from the Children's Book  Council:  Outstanding Books in Social Studies.  Lists are available by following the link from the CBC web site:  www.cbcbooks.org
